So for this question I had to upload a picture of my desktop to be able to explain. I have a few questions... (I'm using KDE)

1. At the top, where my OSX-like menu bar is at, in the right hand corner I have my system tray and clock. The problem is, when I restart, they disappear. How do I make it so that those applets are there when I log back in or reboot? The menu bar is still there, but those applets always disappear.

2. In KDE I have no idea how to make it so that the dock at the bottom of my screen starts when I reboot. It's the AWM dock.

3. I'm in need of desktop widget things to put on my desktop for KDE. Such as a stylish looking weather widget and stuff. Can anyone recommend a program that does that, which is easy to install?

Thanks in advance.

---EDIT--- this is for gnome, not sure w/ KDE, might be similar, perhaps someone more familiar w/ KDE can tell you.

System--->Preferences--->Session

Under the startup tab add this to your startup apps
avant-window-navigator

---EDIT---

You may also want to copy launchers from your menu and place them in your .avant folder, if one doesn't exist create one. You can press CTRL+H in Nautilus to show hidden directories/files. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that method doesn't work in KDE.
