It is interesting. It seems recent. It's either from 2004 (when MS first did the patent dance, same FUD), or from this year, or from the Novell 2006 deal when the new patent FUD happened. It also links to a March 2007 Helios blog so it's possible it's from around that time.
"I also hear that there are several Microsoft engineers that would love to collaborate with the Samba team, but their bosses won't let them.".......In order to prevent a mutiny against the company, stock options are given out to all the developers, and any potential rebel has learned very quickly to keep their mouth shut.
I believe that.

I am a libertarian and it is needless to say we love our liberty but I fear the anti-microsoft liberty far more than microsoft itself. Where MS uses devious business tactics, the anti-ms lobby uses the dirtiest trick of all: try to get the government to interfere and by doing so making the government even more powerful.

Well when there is a big bully on your block what choice is there but to get the biggest bully around to kick his butt?
Anyway would you rather have your freedom taken away by Microsoft? Because that is what they are trying to do.

no, i wouldnt, wouldnt make sense leave the biggest bully and hope and pray he wont bully me!?

how could ms even remotely start doing this? just let me repeat, you ms could never ever force* you to use one of their products (unless off course they get the government to force you)
*when i say force I mean using violence or threating to use violence against you, your loved ones or your property**...
**no your property does not include all those pirated mp3***
***and no if they warn you mp3s and stuff can be deleted, without warnin, if you use vista, even the legal ones, it is still your choice: you decided to install vista****
****yes this is free choice, if you don' t like don' t use*****
*****this even applies if you realllllllly reallllly need to use vista because something will only play on vista******
******how many * did you think i woukld need anyway?
