After announcing plans to ship PCs with Ubuntu pre-installed, computer giant Dell has joined the Linux pact made between Microsoft and Novell.

Does anybody else know about this?? :(

I don't get it. Are they saying they are going to stop pre-installing ubuntu and make users migrate, or is this just on the server/business side.

wait this is from May 8th

It's just on server end of the business for those who go with SUSE through Novell. Dell was doing this all along, installing Linux on servers, as far as I know.

The question is: What is MS up to? Will it be a world with only Red Hat against all the rest of the Linux distros?

From most of the accounts that I've read, it seems to be just a way for MS to dump all the SUSE Enterprise coupons before GPLv3 goes platinum in a few weeks.
