I am not sure what Dell models would come with Lightscribe-capable drives, but I recently searched again for it and came up with Feist packages that someone had don.
The Fiesty packages are for LaCie's 4L software (http://www.lacie.com/support/drivers/driver.htm?id=10094) (which is non-free BTW):

If you use this and it bothers you that it's non free, perhaps a short note to LaCie and HP explaining you wish this was freed / open-sourced would be nice :) To read more about the Lightscribe technology:
