Help Inspiron 6000 with intel 915

I cant get my dell inspiron 6000 with intel 915 to work with compiz/beryl. I go to system>preference>enable desktop effects. It used to work. Now it doesnt. Does any know how to update my drivers and install beryl properly?

sorry if this has already been resolved, but have you installed the intel video drivers?
sudo aptitude install xserver-xorg-video-intel
and reboot
