Ubuntu on the Dell Inspiron 1501

The blog includes guides on how to install ubuntu, install drivers for all your hardware, getting bryl to work, getting wine to work, fixing various problems and so on.

Hello everybody.
I;m using Ubuntu 7.04 on Dell Inspiron 1501, and I have problem with my microphone. Audio out is working perfectly, but microphone is not active, and I have no idea how to make it active. Any ideas?

Did you try ndiswrapper with the audiodrivers you got from dell?
Here's (http://ubuntu1501.blogspot.com/2007/01/fixing-wifi-on-dell-1501.html) a guide for getting wireless to work using ndiswrapper.. Not exactly the audiodriver but you should get the idea :)
