I've been looking for help everywhere but so far no luck.
I purchased a new 5100cn printer from Dell and it comes with RPM Linux drivers. I've used Alien to convert the drivers to DEB. Clicking on the DEB file takes it through the install process and all appears normal EXCEPT that it won't let me add the 5100cn printer.
I've tried the other Dell printers showing in the database but neither of them will produce a working printer.
Can someone please point me to a proper printer driver so that I can use my printer?
If not - can someone tell me how to compile the source code provided on the dell disk into a working DEB driver that will let me add my 5100cn printer properly.
