I bought this, and while my main interests are in 3D animation, it's a really excellent, full-featured program for anyone interested in 2D animation. It has all sorts of cool stuff - dynamic bones, etc.
Plus it's really nice to see a company doing a Linux version of its software, even if it's not free (as in 'speech')
:D

hiya all :)
Can somebody explained how does this DUAL License work. On their website say the GNU version is for personal use and to make any commercial animation I need to purchase the commercial license.
My confusion is, if the software is license under GNU GPL, why can't anyone use it for any purpose that suite them. Please somebody clarify me about the dual licensing things.
p/s: I don't use this software because I'm not an artistic or creative person but I just don't get the idea of dual licensing formulas especially when mix with GNU GPL, where the GNU GPL gives all the freedom one can imagine.
thank you in advance!

That is interesting. So, when you spend over a hundred dollars for a software and make your own art on it, you are unable to put it out to the public and try to make some extra cash if people like it? Man, I was born at the wrong time. Seems like the only way to do anything is with $$$$$. Maybe that's why I like Linux. It is one of the closest things we have to a real community.
