Where can I find "free" system themes for XP? Everything I look at requires you to install some software like windows blinds or some crap that costs more money. I tried the vista transformation pack and experienced too many bugs. It looked nice though. Any recommendations?

Patch the UXtheme.dll file (there are loads out there. XPize's is a safe bet), then you can just drop visual styles (like these (http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/windows/visualstyle/?order=9&alltime=yes)) into the Themes folder.

The only thing you can do other than use WindowBlinds is to run a patched version of uxtheme.dll. After you do this, you will be able to run any theme at all.

Neowin used to have an active themeing/skinning community. Check there.

They still do, although much more focus is on skinning Vista now, although some good XP themes are released every now and again.

Thanks for the info. I used Xpizes patch and is working great. I have searched for ever for something like this. I have 4 MB ram, so themes don't slow me down much. I just like to change every now and then. I was getting tired of the default themes.

Google around for MSStyle themes. You don't need any third party software. The only thing you'll need is a UXtheme.dll patch to allow for unsigned MSStyle themes to be used.
