LightZone serious memory leak?

I was using LightZone 2.4 to process some RAW images, I went away from the computer without closing LightZone, and when I returned, my Ubuntu feisty 64 seemed less than responsive, so I checked the systom monitor and was surprised to see that the process 'java' was taking about 1 gig of RAM, remembering that LightZone was a Java based app, I tried to close it, but couldn't because the program had froze.
So, this leads me to the obvious conclusion that LightZone has a bigtime memory leak, has anyone else experienced this? maybe this is unique to running LightZone in Feisty AMD64?

You might want to check out the LightZone Linux mailing list or forum and post this issue, I believe the developer is very active there.
