Err.. What?

I did a search in the Ubuntu Help Center and I found the section entitled "Writing udev rules".

This seems powerful, but I have no idea how to start. I need help writing a udev rule for a USB device, I need to change permissions for my supported Cannon Pixma MP460.

This is not really Dell specific. You may search elsewhere in the forums, there's a few threads on the subject like this one:
