View Full Version : I'm not sure if it's a problem with my joystick or with my games.

But the joy sticks themselves don't seem to register in any of them. I've run jscalibrator, and it recognizes the joystiicks and Dpad just fine, but when I try to use it on MAME games or SuperTux, it doesn't recognize them. SuperTux recognizes the buttons just fine, but not the dpad/joystick, and i'm not sure what's the problem. I haven't tried using mame games in a week or so, so if someone wants me to test that (on star wars, specifically), lemme know.

Search the forums about joystick calibration. I know that I've read a thread where the OP discovered that jscalibrator takes complete control of joysticks/gamepads when run and doesn't release them afterwards.... he discovered by accident that the games could see his controllers as long as he didn't run jscalibrator first. He also found that he had to reboot after running jscalibrator to get access to the controllers again.

Seems to be exactly my problem. Thanks a ton!
