Steam not displaying words

I have downloaded steam and am running it through wine but when I open steam it runs but does not display any words. Help!

you need the tahoma font, find a tahoma.exe and install it

I have it installed and I assume I installed it correctly because it works in open office but it still does not display words.. Anything else I should do?

I mean install it within wine (ie inside the windows fonts dir - which is simplest done by finding it as an exe and running it via wine (wine tahoma.exe)).
