Is there any way I can see who's viewing a thread?

If not, would you guys mind implementing this feature if it isn't too forum-intensive? I feel that such a feature might perhaps lead to a more balanced spread of replies.

Like: if you can see that ____ is reading a thread and that _____ is replying to a thread, then there would be less duplicate replies.

We had this when the forum was less active. As we grew it got to be too taxing for the server. I'm sorry. It is a cool feature, I wish we could turn it back on.

Ooh, it's all right then. :)

It's okay, if a feature causes too much server load, then it's best to remove it. :p

Matthew,
Can't Canonical just give UbuntuForums the hardware we want/need?
