The hard disk of my system has 4 partitions c: being primary. This contains window XP (format NTFS all drives). I tried to install Ubuntu 7.04 from cd. I was able to reach to the window with the option of install & examples. When i clicked install the system kept on processing but nothing happened. I feel there is some problem with the partitions of the hard disk. I verified the cd it does not have error.

1. Can any one help me get some hard disk manager software which is free?

2. Is there any other problem?
