Server Login Problem

I am completely new to Linux. I just installed Ubuntu Server 6.1. The installation went smoothly and completed. The system rebooted and asked for my user name. I entered this with no problem. Then it asked for my password and I was unable to type ANYTHING. The curser just sits there and blinks regardless of what keys I hit. I rebooted several times and has this same result each time. I tried everything - tab, arrows, holding down shift, num lock on and off, etc. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Never mind. I figured it out. Windows user problem:D

Yep, it doesn't echo anything as you type.

Probably should be changed as you're not the first person to expect it to echo stars as you type. Quite a reasonable expectation if you ask me.
