The above site crashes my backports 1.04 firefox in Hoary.

I have an Nforce2 IGP based system and I am running the Hoary NVidia Binary GFX Driver.

I have had to boot into Windows to view the site.

Can anybody view the Live8 AOL Pages ?

Doesn't crash my firefox, but as usual I cannot get the mplayerplug-in to work. Everything is working properly using Mozilla 1.7.8

OK, so this really sucks! Mozilla starting crashing a few minutes after I wrote the above post. What the hell I thought, lets try the Mac. Right, Mac OS X 10.4.1 Tiger, friggin renowned for multimedia... Safari browser won't play the Live8 feed properly either - I get multiple feeds at the same time, and no way to get only one at a time.

Next I fired up Windows XP on my dual-boot notebook. Went to the music.aol.com site with Firefox which promptly locked up and refused to respond.

Finally I tried Internet Explorer which works on this site flawlessly. This has gotta be AOL putting out content that only works on IE, right? Bastards.

If anyone wants to listen to the concert fire up beep-media-player, xmms, or mplayer...whatever...and point it to...

it's working for me.

Bill Gates made a surprise appearance at Live8 in London. This explains a lot :-)

Firefox probably deliberately crashed to prevent traumatizing it's users! Squash Bill Gates... he's the bug!
