So I finally tried to remove ubuntu for good after failing countless times to get my sound working. I removed my ubuntu partitions from my laptop and then expanded my vista partition to reclaim the space, problem is, when I try to boot up it still tries to load GRUB, but it gets Error 22 and then just stops. Did I miss something when I was deleting the partitions? Any idea how I could fix this?

I'm posting from the ubuntu live cd right now by the way.

You only deleted Ubuntu partition but you still haven't deleted GRUB from MBR. Do you have Vista CD to boot from so you can repair your MBR?

p.s. I think this is more of a Windows question than Ubuntu so I will move it over to Windows Discussions.

Yeah, I've got the Vista cd but it's back home and I won't be back there for another few days. Any way I could fix this from the ubuntu cd?

For a quick fix, reinstall Ubuntu, even if you don't end up keeping it.

This will enable you to use Windows.
