Hi,here.
Thanks for the work going on here. We are truly blessed and encouraged by the efforts put forth
I have a question. I am having difficulty getting the streaming video working from our church site - calvarychapel.com.
Also, on foxnews.com, I get audio, but no video.
Any suggestions?
Blessings,
Chuck

Have you installed the necessary codecs? There are several ways to do this. You can use the Add Remove tool or you can use Automatix2. I usually use Automatix2 just because I find it to be a bit quicker. I also recommend the VLC media player.

Are you Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel?
I have the same problem as you on foxnews.com (ie I hear SOUND, but NO VIDEO), but not on calvarychapel.com. I can play the video streaming on this site (http://www.calvarychapel.com/?show=Resources.Streams) with no problem. I have mplayer and all the codecs from the how-to on this site (http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Feisty).
Would switching to VLC solve this problem?
As a Christian, I like to get news from conservative places like Fox, CBN, etc. Flash player not working on Foxnews is kind of sad.

Hi Jereme,
I have all the codecs installed except the ones that are illegal in the US. I also have VLC media player installed, but that is not the one used by Firefox. How do I change that?
Blessings,
Chuck

Hi talk1150,
No, I am not Pastor Chuck Smith, even though my name is Chuck, and I pastor a Calvary Chapel here in South Carolina :D
I still haven't got the streaming problem solved yet. I'll let you know about VLC once I figuure out how to change it within Firefox.
Blessings,
Chuck
