Below is a short list of community gaming projects.

This to me means that the project I'm listing meets certain criteria otherwise I won't list it.
I felt this was needed as individual threads for these get bumped down the forum list as time
goes by, and folks may not notice them. Anyway the criteria are as follows:

1. Must be a game (yea duh huh?)
2. Must have at the very least a basic website (i need something to link to)
3. It mush have originated on the Ubuntu forums or gained a following here including but not limited to gaining board members for the project.

Simple enough eh? Please if this list is missing your project PM me and I'll add it ASAP.
I have no affiliation with any projects listed below, please contact the person(s) organizing them to offer help or ask any questions. Thanks. ^_^

iTeam (http://www.via2b.com/iteam/index.asp (http://www.via2b.com/iteam/index.asp)) - Local Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=427011) - Project Forum (http://iteam.freeforums.org/index.php)
A project started by DARKGuy in an attempt to make a GunBound (kinda like worms) style game for linux using GP2D as the game engine.
Along with jorgerosa's amazing artwork this project is coming together beautifully. There have been so many people jumping onboard this
one I can't even keep track of them.

Kilo (http://proj-kilo.sourceforge.net/ (http://proj-kilo.sourceforge.net/)) - Local Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=452890) - Project Forum (http://projectkilo.forums.com/)
Details on this project are few at the moment, but Ubuntu forum member Mazehero55 (aka: Tieden) wants to build an open source RPG to drop the
collective jaws of the windows world, and bring a bright shining star to the Linux gaming community. The setting will be the past in a middle eastern
area of the world, and will feature it's own native language for the characters living in the world of Kilo.

Extreme Tux Racer (http://www.planetpenguinracer.com/ (http://www.planetpenguinracer.com/)) - Local Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=378716) - Project Forum (http://www.planetpenguinracer.com/forum/) (formerly Planet Penguin Racer Revival)
The development of Planet Penguin Racer (aka Tux Racer) saddened some Ubuntians, some of these community members have banded
together in an attempt to bring Tux back from the source-graveyard and bring PPR to a new generation for all to enjoy.

Slingshot (http://www.slingshot-game.org// (http://www.slingshot-game.org/)) - Local Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2966021)
Slingshot is a two dimensional, turn based simulation-strategy game set in the gravity fields of several planets. It is a highly addictive game, and never the same from round to round due to its randomly generated playing fields.
