Xoff = plugin->screen_area.width/2 + plugin->screen_area.width/2 * cos(deg2rad(angletimer))-last_area.width/2;
Yoff = plugin->screen_area.height/2 - plugin->screen_area.height/2 * sin(deg2rad(angletimer))-last_area.height/2; //Invert the Y so the movement matches the cartesian coordinate system

those are circular/elliptical offsets to move an object around the screen...

Door knob
gepoophile banned for not knowing the door-knob fart rule

if someone farts, you say door-knob and everyone else is allowed to punch them until they touch a door-knob. If you say safety after the fart, no one is allowed to door-knob you but you give away that you farted, so that's the catch. oh noes! White text. Om nom

[HowTo] Bump The BUMP Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=520091) in 4 Easy Steps

1. While in The BUMP Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=520091), click on any Quick-Reply icon (http://ubuntuforums.org/images/buttons/quickreply.gif) found in the lower right of any post on this thread.
2. Type in the following:bump
3. Press the <tab> key, followed by the <enter> key.
4. Repeat, taking care not to bump too quickly (be sure to wait 20 seconds and giving other bumpers a chance to bump) and changing the text of your bump if you are bumping within five minutes of the previous bump. This step is neccesary to keep Stupid Forum from barking errors at you, such as 1. This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between posts. Please try again in 1 second. and 1. This post is a duplicate of a post that you have posted in the last 5 minutes.

Happy Bumping!

Don't believe me? Try it! But, under all circumstances, do play nice:

Guys, STOP SPAMMING the thread. Let other people bump, too, it's not fun when one person just keeps bumping down the page, and it reflects badly on this thread. You already know it is in front of the Forum Council for closure, and it's because of behavior like this that it could be closed.

I don't want it to be closed and neither do you. Shape up or I'll close it myself. Permanently. Thank you.

*BUMP!*

Being the top bumper won't do you any good when you get banned for spamming (and don't think I won't back that decision if it comes to it). Play nice, please.

*BUMP!*

i also have some problems with setting the number of colours. no matter what dithering setting i choose the text gets pixelated and just doesnt look good. see the attached files if you are interested. (Text Problem is before, Text Problem 2 is after)
what is strange is that the colours that are used in the anti-aliasing are used elsewhere in the image. short of drawing the text after instead of using text in gimp im not sure what to do.

Scientists have always wanted to know how everything began. So they have hunted many avenues of possibilities, and found that currently, the speed that matter is moving, and the direction it’s going, seems to hold the key. However, first, they need to know how far away anything is.
Very early scientists believed that all the stars were on a singular plane orbiting the earth. Then it was discovered, using geometrical measuring methods, that they were all in very different places, and were located in the Milky Way. Immediately, people began to wonder if all these stars really were in our galaxy, or whether there were other galaxies, far away from us.
Henrietta Leavitt resolved this using Cepheid variables – pulsating stars – to measure the distance more accurately.
So I am investigating light intensity and how it is affected over distance.

Granted, you loose .00002 lbs. of weight

I wish Linux would come out with its own mp3 player and it was so successful, it ran iPods and Zunes off the market.
wish granted, but in the process, the linux ideal is lost and it just becomes another redmond clone. soon it spreads to the other markets and FOSS Linux is dead forever.

OpenOffice.org 3 is the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers. It stores all your data in an international open standard format and can also read and write files from other common office software packages. It can be downloaded and used completely free of charge for any purpose.

I don't know how that got on there.

When he’s tall he’s what we call A dinosaur sensation
Barney teaches lots of things
Like how to play pretend
A-B-C’s and 1-2-3’s and how to be a friend
Barney comes to play with us
Whenever we may need him
Barney can be your friend too
If you just make believe him

AN OBITUARY PRINTED IN THE LONDON TIMES.
Interesting and sadly true.

'Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, 'Common Sense', who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouth wash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement .

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust. His wife, Discretion, his daughter, Responsibility and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights; I Want It Now; Someone Else Is To Blame; I'm A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

I was reading an interview with Linus talking about stuffs. Thought this was an interesting comment he made, and I'm considering putting it in my facebook quotes :p

The desktop, in contrast, is all about a wide variety of uses. Huge variety in hardware, huge variety in software, and tons of crazy users doing things that no sane person would ever even think of doing. Except, it turns out, those crazy users may be doing odd things, but they do them for (sometimes) good reasons.

Well, I read this a few posts ago, and couldn't resist passing it on because of the truth embedded in it. Therefore, it ended up being copied and pasted.

Spontaneous human combustion (SHC) is the burning of the human body without an external source of ignition. There is speculation and controversy regarding SHC. There are about 200 cited cases[1] worldwide over a period of around 300 years; however, most of the alleged cases are characterised by the lack of a thorough investigation, or are based on hearsay. In many of the more recent cases, where photographic evidence is available, it is alleged that there was an external source of heat present (often cigarettes), and nothing occurred 'spontaneously'.

This game is so very fun I couldn't help but share it with you guys. You control a plane flying in a vertical plane trying to shoot down your opponents planes using your plane classes and plane "perks" which you earn by leveling up your plane collection, which happens as you fly your plane and kill other planes with your plane's guns. Also, there's an alternate (though some might say TBD is the plane mode) mode where you split into teams and drive your opponents plane crazy by blowing up their base with a special powerup.

It's online multiplayer, mostly. I'm Sillyman, in case you were wondering (ID: 6058ef6f-ebdc-4e17-9066-87e9c989499d)

Before this starts making sense, I shall point you to here (http://forum.caravelgames.com). I was trying to see how many 'plane's there were by doing this in python:
for i in msgl: #msgl being a list with every word in the ctrl-v in it
if i in 'planes': planes += 1
print planesAssume planes is 0.
