Gnome-Peercast (http://takuo.jp/gnome-peercast) is a project to add a GTK based GUI frontend to Peercast. If there's anyway someone could add this to the backports repository it would be awesome! :)

Edit: This is the original post I made, but I've changed it to the Gnome based Peercast instead: "I know it's not in the official Ubuntu repositories, but is there anyway someone can add in Peercast (http://peercast.org)? It's an open source tool that enables P2P radio/tv broadcasts. I really need it and would really like to avoid attempting a source install of it. Please consider adding it :) ..thanks..."

Why not just download it and run it? They provide a statically linked binary that works fine, no installation needed.

It doesn't seem to do anything when you first run it, but once it's running just open http://127.0.0.1:7144 in a browser to get started.

Ok, thanks...sorry I didn't realize they had a binary available.

However, I have recently found this (http://takuo.jp/gnome-peercast/) . It's called Gnome Peercast and give you a full GUI frontend to Peercast...and it does require compilation. Any chance someone could be so kind as to package it for backports??? Thanks :)
