Hello everyone!
I'm a newbie to the Ubuntu community and Linux in general so I'll just get this out of the way first: I love Ubuntu. I've been a very stressed Windows user for long and I always wanted to like Linux. However my expectations were never met by any distribution fully untill I tried Ubuntu. There was always some damn annoyance that made me return to Windows and I hated it. Let me just say you people are miracle workers and it is very essential you keep at it. With Ubuntu I really feel I'm using an operating system and not just a bagfull of utilites packed onto a disc with a kernel. Also system stability and configurability are outstanding! So far anything I've needed has been relatively easy to accomplish (I do have plenty of experience with PCs so I'm not afraid of a little commandline). I really think if a maker-brand such Compaq or IBM started bundling Ubuntu with the approriate tools and support (out of the bag DVD playback capability, custom drivers etc.) Windows would have a run for it's money. ;-)
