I have OS X 10.3 on my Imac G3 400mhz 768mb of ram , 10GB hardrive, and os x 10.3 is pretty slow, should I install OS 9.2.2.?
would it be faster?
it is not my main computer , I only use it for web browsing, instant messaging, myspace, basic stuff , it is mainly for when people come over and need to use a computer. What about adobe flash ?will i be able to get a old version of that and will it work with myspace, youtube, ect?
Are there any current browsers for OS 9.2.2?
is there a version of firefox or anything based on Mozilla for os 9.2.2?

There is an older version of mozilla for Mac OS 9. That is it. No Firefox.
Why not have the machine be 100% Linux?

because there is no support for adobe flash for ppc processors for linux
other than that i would have ubuntu on it, but I have to have adobe flash

I would avoid Mac OS9 because most everyone has stopped development for that platform. I think you might be able to find a flash 7 version, but I don't know if it would even play flash video. Anyone know?
Gnash is working on flash video for Linux (incl. ppc linux). The current cvs build plays youtube video, and others. They will include it in the next release. It's coming!

You might ask on the gnash mailing list. Or offer to test a release on different pages to help with the project. By looking at their mailing list, it seems that youtube is priority No. 1 at the moment.

I really think Adobe should just release a version of flash for linux ppc becuase there are alot of people who want it
and they make a version of flash for ppc mac, why not linux?
ohhh well I think there it a petition you can sighn somewhere on the net but i doubt there will be anymore versions of flash for ppc.
Is there a older version of flash for ppc linux floating around?

Hey well this hot debate has been going on for awhile as you can imagine. Adobe JUST now released flash 9 for x86 Linux. Not 64bit Linux. There is only ONE guy at Adobe who actually coded the newest Linux Flash 9 for x86 Linux, and he had quite an attitude towards releasing flash for anything but x86 Linux. You can read an example of his own stubborn words on his blog:
http://blogs.adobe.com/penguin.swf/2006/10/whats_so_difficult_64bit_editi.html
or any other post of his.
So the fate of the entire Linux-Adobe flash world lies entirely with this guy. :-(
Pretty depressing.
And well- there has never been flash for PPC Linux, to answer that question. But now we have gnash! So it's getting there. If I have time I'll compile a recent CVS version of gnash and give it a whirl.
The number of PPC Linux users is going to go up from here on out, and PowerPC isn't going anywhere anytime soon. IBM sells PPC machines running Linux for monster crunching machines, among other companies, and the gaming consoles using PPC. So PPC userbase is large, and desktop stuff like flash for PPC Linux is getting there.
