I have complained a total of 4 different times about one particular avatar which I feel is totally inappropriate for a forum that would like to see itself as "woman-friendly". I have twice sent messages through the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of forum pages, I have used the "Report this Post" button on a post having this avatar, and I have a PM'd one mod who I hoped would take action. This has happened over a period of 4 weeks, with approx 1 week between each complaint. This avatar is still being used and I have not been contacted in any way, not even to be told that my complaint is being reviewed or that it is not legitimate in the opinion of this forum.

I realise that mods/admins etc are all unpaid and cannot spend every waking moment on this forum; however, 4 weeks should be enough time to take some kind of action on this. Please realize that any person who does not see women as solely sexual objects may be quite offended by this avatar, and will find it hard to understand why a supposedly woman-friendly website would allow this to continue.

The picture is of a woman's torso, fully clothed, wearing a t-shirt that simulates a Windows "blue screen of death." I reviewed the avatar the first time it was reported and I didn't see any forums rules violation. I still don't.

The picture in question is not pornographic, or even close. It is not in violation of typical standards of decency. I would consider it at least as safe for school and work as the other avatars in this forum.

Sorry. I'm not taking action on this complaint.

You can turn off avatars if you like in your UserCP.

We have a lot going on and almost never have the time to reply to complaints. Sorry. We either take action or we don't, but we don't PM the complainer either way.

I agree with Matthew.

No further action is needed concerning the Avatar.
