the main thing is that I can do most of it myself with a little help from goole.
I thing she might like having profiles and being able to change anything she wants.

Before i even started this happened (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=45020) but, on the other hand, Hoary installed great on my junk box. Maybee i can get enemy territory to run on that. well.... if i could get the mouse to work.

If you really want to only use Ubuntu....I would use the 32bit version.

my plan was to dual-boot for a month or so, trying to use linux whenever possible, then wheen myself off in another month.
i messed up my windows partition (files intact, wouldn't boot) during my first install of SuSE, and haven't done a reinstall of windows.
talk about head first!

I'll be here for support, cuz since I bought my PC (November last year) I haven't use anything but Linux, well actually I did install windows cuz I wanted to play, but after 15 min I said to myself, you can do this without this s***, so I ereased my windows partition, and that was all, 15 min of windows in my machine; so I know two or three tricks to make things work. Although I have to use windows at work, but I guess that doesn't count cuz the only thing I use is MS-Office, Internet, and some statistical package (all of them OpenSource  )
