I am new to Linux trying hard to get out from under Windows but I am a gamer and need my games or I might hurt someone (LOL) I am not that bad but I do love my games.
I can get wine and some of the other programs that should run windows games and other programs but can’t get the games to run the first time I loaded wine I did it under Synaptic Package Manager I get the icons this way then I did it with Automatix but I lost the icons and could not find them.
I can get my wireless working with ndiswrapper and get other stuff working with help from the forum.
When I get a game installed I try to start it, it drops out and dose not work the games I have tried are master of Orion 2 and Pharaoh and I play WOW online too and I have other games that I like that was made for windows 98.
If anyone can help me with this I would love it I won’t out from windows bad and wont to get started with Ubuntu as my only OS.
And anyone know a good media player for Linux I have all most 5gig of songs both in mp3 and wam
