I want to play D2LOD on my notebook without carrying the CD around wherever I go, can I just make a copy of the .iso onto my HD then mount/unmout it as needed? How do I do that?

Additional info:
Ubuntu Dapper
Centrino Duo Processor & 512MB RAM
Intel PGMA vid card & sound card
wine 0.9.9
D2 & LOD CDs legit; I'd prefer not to crack anything.

Hi.

I wanted to do the same thing, with a D2LoD install, where I don't want to insert my LoD cd all the time, so I had to use a crack, and then i made an ISO of my LoD cd.

First i installed D2 and the Lod and then update. Now I downloaded a crack for LoD and then I made an ISO of my LoD cd (with this command: "dd if=/dev/cdrom of=LoD.iso", remember to umount the cd first).

Then I used a script for enabling b.net, found here:
Description: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=315
Script: http://www.poksi.org/%7Ehifi/lnxd2load/D2Loader-current.sh

I renamed my Game.exe to Game.exe.orig and then the cracked to Game.exe.crk, and changed the paths in the script to match my system, and then it worked!:)
