Xfce4 error message

I just installed XFCE4 and wanting to do some customizing, but I can't access Windows Manager Settings and Windows Manager Tweaks. The error message displayed is "These settings cannot work with your current window manager (unknown)."

are you running beryl or compiz (desktop effect)?

I'm running Beryl.

that's why you can't edit it through the control center. You need to edit Emerald themes. I'm not sure if there's anything else you can do.
