Hope this is the right forum section for this question/
My daughter always plays the games on different websites, like nickjr and nuggin, on my XP machine.
However, I'm having issues with Firefox with Kubuntu. For example the nuggin website looks for an "unknown plugin".

Can someone please tell me how yo fix this? I downloaded the Adobe flash player (rpm??) but need info on how to get it installed, IF this is what Firefox is missing.

The missing plugin is Shockwave and unfortunately Macromedia and now Adobe have not ported it to Linux yet. I would imagine that if even a small fraction of the Ubuntu community would nag Adobe asking for Shockwave they might get off their collective arses and get it done!

Here is a link to the Adobe feedback page....

I have the same issue by the way with my kids. I have Unbuntu on their machine and they do share their displeasure with me when they run into a Shockwave based game that they cannot play :(
