Since rip didn't give you much info, here's a link where you can download ubuntu packages of Frostwire.

http://www.getdeb.net/app.php?name=Frostwire

And the official site for frostwire: http://www.frostwire.com/

Use it if you like, atleast think about trying it out as it is one of the better p2p applications imho for linux.

You don't need limewire for that lol.

You need to search around the forums for info on Samba so you can access windows based shares from Ubuntu. :)

ok i downloaded the installer but now it says:
"status: Error: dependancy is not satisfiable: Sun-java5-jre"
wear do i get that
(note: i am a brand new linux user, i would be windows but i got ripped off by the store that was supposed to "fix" my computer, and they installed a demo copy, then a pirated version and both killed them selves)

Alt+F2

type: gnome-terminal

Click Run (or Ok forget which).

Then type:

sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jre

you will need to have the "multiverse" repositories enabled for this to work

More info on repos here:

Alt F2 should open a run box.

Just goto the applications menu and open a terminal, I was trying to keep it simple.

Sorry about that, hopefully these links will explain things a little easier. ^_^
