Ok folks I've read a few threads on this and tried all the suggestions noted but I just can not seem to get a CD that passes the integrity check. I can get them to boot without too many issues but they just won't pass the integrity check when it gets to installing the packages. So far here's what I've tried:

1) Several burning programs. burnatonce, Nero, and CDBurner XP Pro 3
2) Burning at different speeds 1x, 2x, 4x
3) Re-downloading the ISO image (several times)

I haven't had the chance to try different CD-R media (currently using Memorex) so that's still a possibility. Is there anything else that I should try? I really wish that there was a netinstall option (no I'm not talking about PXE boot) for ubuntu like there is Debian.

There is an hidden netinstall option. You can download the mini.iso here :
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty/main/installer-powerpc/current/images/powerpc/netboot/

And if i remember correctly, it let you choose the ubuntu flavor of your choice.

Have you tried checking the integrity of the ISO? Using different brands of CD-R could work, as I have found that certain brand CD-RW doesn't like certain CD-R's.
