Red Mystery

I have read many posts about Windows gaming on Linux and using Wine, Cedega, and Crossover Linux but I had trouble with wine and I do not have access to a credit card to buy Cedega or Crossover Linux. I want to play Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2 if it is possible, does anyone know if this game will work in anyway on Ubuntu.
Thanks

you could try using qemu or vmware, (you should be able to find how to's in the fourms) but other than that your are probaly stuck.

AFAIK, virtualization doesn't work well for games because you're running a OS on top of another OS, and 3D doesn't quite work well in virtualization anyway.

If you don't have a credit card to get Cedega or Crossover Linux then your only real option left is wine.
Crossover Linux has a free 60-day (I think) trial so you can download that and use for atleast that amount of time. However after that you are going to have to bite the bullet and either buy Cedega, Crossover Linux, or get wine working properly.

Hum, good to know, I have never tried it, it was a guess.
