Also j2re 1.5.0_04 . In backports is still 1.5.0+update02 .

This release seems to be a major version with over 350 bugs fixed since 1.5.0.

Can't wait to see it in backport :-)

Yup, everything seems to be doing well... Java seems to be working in firefox also

It's in staging right now. Just add backport staging in your source.list and do an apt-get update then you will see it.
