Hi,
I got it to work using Cedega, but I was not satisfied. It works OK but the perfomance is terrible. I had to set most settings to medium and low and resolution to 1024x768 to play with a GeForce 6600GT.
If you are a CS addict (I proudly am!) leaving a partition with WindowsXP is the way to go for now.

yeah, i just got cs working in cedega and it's pretty terrible (at least compared to how it runs in windows). i too will be leaving a winxp partition available for gaming purposes.

You can't. Unless your talking about the Half-life/CS linux server. You can however run the Windows version of Half-Life, and CS 1.6 in Cedega or Wine, and they work as well or better than in Windows.
