Grub boot splash?

Is there any plan to make an artwork for the grub boot splash image for the next release of CE? I have collected some that are scattered in KDE-look and GNOME-look sites; but I would like to have a CE version (too bad I'm not artistically inclined, but I can write a few hundred lines of code a day :-))

That is not a bad idea. I might consider this if it is not too difficult to get it pre-installed/configured.

I have almost always added a grub boot splash screen, and it isn't that hard. I have often wondered why Ubuntu doesn't have one by default. I'm not as talented as either of you as I don't write any code, and I'm not artistically inclined. :) I want to put my vote in for a grub boot splash screen. :)
