When I try to choose beryl as my window manager, nothing happens. It worked before, so what's wrong?

Hehe, I believe I have heard this problem before... you wouldn't happen to have had an error/crash from beryl?
Just to make sure, go to System > Preferences > Sessions. Make sure there are three things at startup for Beryl. If they aren't just push the add button and put this in the terminal space. They should be these commands:
beryl
beryl-manager
emerald --replace
Then reboot and tell me if that works, if not, might be a bit more serious.

Didn't work. I belive something may be wrong with xorg. I have a backup somewhere, how do I access it?
Thing is, beryl pops up and all of that, but when I try to click on beryl as my preferred window manager, nothing happens.

Hmmm, well let us look at the xorg then. Type this into terminal and paste your xorg file.
gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
also to find your backup, please post the output of this too:
ls /etc/X11/

Are you running on an NVIDIA or ATI card? It looks like your drivers aren't installed properly.

Nvidia. I'll check the driver when I'm home.
Edit: Works! Thanks!
