but uses Hoary's repositry? I think this is a great way to enable access to a large variety of software accross os's. For example, I'm running Xandros right now with ubuntu repository, so I can download gparted and recent versions of programs, without the shared printer problem which I experience with Ubuntu.

WHo else does this, with which os, and whY? :)

(remember to do do apt pinning!)

Why : You mentioned "large variety of software"
Who : I am not. :)
Which Os : Mostly Debian based dists. Especially Debian. Cause stable versions use older ones. Mepis and also Xandros maybe
