I don't really know in witch category to put this thread so I'll post it here.
My brother has his computer hooked up to his TV, so the other day I gave him a live CD of Ubuntu to check out. He called me up and told me it's not working. So I decided to go have a look and took some of my other live cd's along.
When I got there I stuck the cd back in the drive and booted up, it started loading but at a certain point the screen just went black and stayed that way, I decided to try Slax 5.04 Live cd and the same thing happened I then tried DSL and so forth but still nothing just a black space on the wall.
I thought this must have something to do with the resolution or Linux doesn't recognise the hardware?
Does anyone know why this happens and does anybody have their TV's connected to their Linux boxes?
