Putting a screenshot into a post

Looked at all the advice but I am obviously missing the point.

I have a firefox page that I want to take a screen shot of
Did so by apps/acces/take screenshot that put a png on the desktop
When I try to copy png to forum posting all I get is an url //home/peter/desktop/abc.png which would be of little help as a reader would not have access to that url remotely

So how is it done

when replying hit the button that says manage attachments, if it is over 1 megabyte use the gimp first to compress it

Soory but which button I do not think I can see one called that

Click on Go Advanced (right below the message text box)

Scroll down to Additional Options > Attach Files

Then click Manage Attachments

A new window should open where you can Browse for the image file on your computer and then Upload it to the Ubuntu Forums.
