The GCfilms film cataloging project is holding a logo and webdesign contest, thought some of you might be interested. http://gcfilmslogo.free.fr/
The program, itself, should be in Breezy, soon. Hoary repository:
deb http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/infinitodev/ubuntu/ hoary universe
deb-src http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/infinitodev/ubuntu/ hoary universe
It's still pretty obscure, especially in the English-speaking world, but I think it's the best film collection management software. You should try it out if you've got a large film collection. But, alas, it's got an ugly logo/splashscreen (although I thought the website looked fine). I was gonna create a logo, myself, but that's probably not kosher, now, being a project member. If there's interest, I'll post my work and you all can build off of it, if you'd like.

i have a LOT of animes.. yes.. a lot of them... and i want to catalogue them all in gcfilms, but the only source to search for anime is in french.

I'm just doing the English translation and some usability work since it's written in perl, which is strange and scary to me. You can request support for that site here: https://gna.org/bugs/?func=additem&group=gcfilms
I attached some ideas I had for a logo, if anyone wants to build off of those.

Hello,
Is it possible to add this website in the sources?
http://anidb.info/
I just contacted them (using the mail address on pages bottom because I didn't find another one) to be sure it won't be a problem to use their website for this purpose. We did so for all other site used to be sure there is no legal issue.
If it is OK on their side, we will develop this plugin as I am also an anime fan (but french site did the job for me ;-) )
JDay> I don't think there should be any problem if you directly paricipate to the contest. But I think you had a great idea by sharing waht you began to made.
Many thanks also for this announcement :)

Oops, I got an error message telling the akujin@anidb.net address doesn't exist :-( So I don't know how to contact them.
I will try the forum.
EDIT: Done here:

I uploaded my work into the gallery. I think someone else can do better (please do!). But it's a start, 'cause the site was pretty bare.
It seems that the gallery uses a black background. Can this be changed? I had to add a grey background since black on black doesn't show up too well.

I will check that with MeV (who is webmaster for this site) to know if something can be made.

OK, I fixed the *black background* problem. It was actually a bug in Coppermine itself when generating preview image. I will submit them a patch.
