I am just trying to get Warcraft III up and running in Ubuntu 7.04.

What tools are recommended to do this? I no longer have a Windows partition and my entire drive is ext3/devoted to Ubuntu. Is it still possible to play this game? If so, how?

Also, anyone else with a strategy game taste (like WCIII) have any other recommendations?

I'm just wondering how to install/play it without a dedicated windows partition or is this even possible? Any help would be appreciated -OR- game recommendations for Linux without the need for a windows partition :)

Sincerely,

XQ

its should run smoothly under a program called wine which lets you use windows programs
there is also an alternative program called cedega but it is not free.

I know to use Wine, as the title implies, and am familiar with Cedega.

However, do I need an active Windows/NTFS/FAT partition for this to function? Warcraft III, and some other games I have, do not run directly off the CD and sometimes require installation first on Windows.

So, my question is, can Wine also do an install on an ext3 partition or what?
