My blog, while neglected in the past, will be kept up to date. It won't be all about the Linux and Ubuntu, but will contain life stuff and other things that are or become of interest to me.

I mentioned this before, but once we have the planet up and running we can add our Hackergotchi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackergotchi)s to it. Feel free to just email whatever you want to use to me (Lyz@PrincessLeia.com) and I'll put it on the planet along with your blog :) Also it'd be nice to know what names to assign to the blogs - your real name? Your forum nickname? Your IRC nickname?

As for me - PrincessLeia2.LiveJournal.com (http://princessleia2.livejournal.com) is the one I add to planets and has comments enabled on (I run a "local" copy of my blog up at Journal.PrincessLeia.com (http://journal.princessleia.com), but I still call the LJ one my primary).

I don't know if you are member of the Venezuala LoCo Team? If not, you should join them. They may have a planet of their own for you to link your blog to.

Cape Elizabeth is really nice, I have family there, I actually live in Portland though. What are you doing so far from Maine in PA? You should come back, we need more Ubuntu love in ME anyway!

No worries, I was happy to see your were from Maine - glad to see there is some Linux love up there!

I moved away after high school (graduated in 1999), mostly because I wanted to get into IT and there weren't too many opportunities up there. I first moved to NY and have been living here in PA for the past 6 years. I keep trying to convince my husband that ME is awesome and we should move back, but he thinks it's too cold ;) I still visit every couple of years.

LoCo is short for Local/Community - they are regional groups supporting Ubuntu, more info can be found here:

Have we any control how the page looks? It would be more usable if the author and post title links looked like links. One cannot tell that they are links.

Would also be nice if the blog's title was perhaps the author link's title.

Can you please remove my journal entry. As I am sure you are aware, ubuntero.org is in the process of redesigning their site and goals. As such, my journal entries are currently in limbo.

HOPEFULLY I am able to get my data back. Until then, I will start looking for another alternative.

As for alternatives, Wordpress.com is a great site for a hosted blog, and I personally use Tumblr, but I've been thinking of switching to Wordpress on my domain for my personal blog.
