I havent seen any benchmarks but is the Intel Core 2 Duo actually faster then a dual core G5 at the same clock speed??

I think the intel processors are way faster.

It's not only the clockspeed of the CPU that matters, just look at single core AMD processors compared Intels. The AMD processors have just as much performace, dispite almost half the clockspeed.

Why do you think the Intel is faster? Have you seen a benchmark? I have a Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0GHz/4MB L2) in a laptop (667 FSB if iŽm not mistaking). I could run a benchmark like LMBench or something. If thereŽs anyone with a G5, he could run LMBench too, and weŽd have our benchmark:)
