I wish I used Ubuntu before I bought my laptop. I would have searched for vender's with pre-installed linux boxes.

I've had a Toshiba Satellite A 40 since August 2004 and it's working fine.

However, I dont have WIFI, scanner, printer, video cam...so I can't say if they would work.
