[idea] make forum buddies easier to track

I really like the system at Digg, where you can add a user as a friend and then easily track all the stories they dugg or commented on. A feature like that here, for posts, would be pretty interesting I think, especially with the huge volume of posts it can be easy to get lost. Right now I think the only simple way to track things is through subscirbing to threads, and even that you have to do manually, or post in it. It doesn't connect you to new threads.

If you click on anyone's username above their post you can view their user profile. From there (the user profile) you can add that person to your "buddy" list. That should inform you somehow of all of their posts (note: I haven't tested this out, but I'm pretty sure it works like what you are describing).

Give it a go and see if it fulfills your need. :)
