Office Max has 120 gig maxtor network hard drives for 39 bucks, after INSTANT rebates, none of that mail in crap. It's a clearance item, so there are no rainchecks, no special orders, nothing. Nobody anywhere nearby has these things.

whoa! didn't realize that. I'm gonna run on up there tonite and grab me one before all the other geeks get their geasy hands on 'em. I can see it now - a lot like women fighting over wedding dresses on those clearance markdown days, I'll be knee deep in geeks fighting 'em off with my slide ruler! "ehh! ehh! that's mine you insensitive clod! Take that! and that!"
I'm not even using 6 GB off my 30 GB and dont have a clue what I would do with all that other space. I guess it's always good to have spare bits, in case of an emergency. AFterall, no one ever thought the price of memory would be too expensive until those 2 semiconductor plants burnt down in Japan a few years ago. Thanks for the heads up! I'm gassing up the truck and sharpening up the 'ole slide ruler!

There are 160GB HDs at CompUSA. $129 at first though, but a $100 mail-in rebate. I'm probably going to go for it. :D

My fiancee works at Office Max-- she said one of the workers held back three, because they get the ad really early and know what sweet deals are coming. He held back THREE! They only had 6 in the store! The managers didn't like that too much.
