Hey Anarchyonline is allowing people to play for free till january!!!!
so you all should download it and play....it runs perfect in the latest cedega...also if anyone can hook me up with a .png of the anarchy online icon i would really apprecieate it

Seems like they are in trouble, I noticed that for the past year they keep lowering prices and making things available for free...

How does the game work in linux?

This is an old thread, but just an update:
Anarchy Online is still free until some time in 2007, and the game is great, you should check it out. They are not in trouble, they just adopted the guild wars tactic, the game itself is free, and when you pick up the expansions, you have to pay the subscription (I have 2 accounts fully upgraded, its worth it in the long run). They have added a lot of content over the years and its well worth trying out. As far as running on linux, im compiling wine 0.9.23 right now and if anyone's interested, Ill be trying to test it out. Hopefully, with the new d3d and opengl advances that allows WoW to run, AO should be doing great. Let you all know soon!

its been free for a couple of years now. My guess is, is that it will remain free for a very long time.
