Openoffice Write highlight

Has anyone experience incompatibility when you highlight some text in Openoffice Write and you save the file to be opened in MS Office? I cannot un-highlight the text at MS Office and well that makes some collaboration work to delay since I have to get back to my linux station to re-edit the text.

Any idea?

Actually, I never use highlighting, which turns out to be good. There many outstanding, old bugs in OO.org regarding removal of highlighting (in same cases you can't remove it even in OO without a pain!). But I think this bug address your problem exactly, and suggests a work around:

many thanks. I guess it i will be a pain for my co-workers to really find the way to edit my stuff haha. I shall think of other ways to get it work though.
