'must have' apps [Archive]

What are some good 'must have' apps that Ubuntu doesn't come with? I've been bored and I wanted to explore what other applications there are. So far I've gotten Skype, Abiword, Opera and Konquerer. What else?

btw.. ubuntu will never come with opera, skype, etc.. cause they are proprietary.. ubuntu can have a repositori with some of them.. but i doubt that it will come pre-installed :-P
